Argon & Krypton Gas-Filled Units
Introducing gas into the double-glazed unit’s cavity enhances thermal performance, with Argon being the commonly used option. Argon-filled units provide over 30% improvement in U value and should last the lifetime of the unit.
Krypton, although more energy-efficient, is rarely used due to its higher cost. However, we can offer Krypton gas-filled Heritage Double Glazed Units upon request.
U-Values (Thermal Efficiency)
U-Values measure heat loss in a building, indicating overall thermal efficiency. Our Slimline Heritage Double Glazed Units significantly outperform single glazing, providing superior insulation with lower U values, as seen in the below table.
